I teach freshmen and sophomore English classes at Canton R-V High School in Canton, MO. I began teaching in 2007 after earning undergraduate degrees in business administration and communication.  I earned my master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in literacy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in July 2014.  I am currently working on my Ed.D. in Reading and Literacy through Capella University. I love to read and discuss books with my students, and they are the inspiration for my research and continued education.
